Varnished Glass Fabric Tape
Description
This is produced using E glass fibre yarns, the fabric then being impregnated with one of five varnishes, depending on the performance requirement.
Applications
• Cable wrapping
• Machine coil taping
• Phase barrier insulation
• End winding insulation
• Dry tape transformer insulation
• Coil cell manufacture
• HT motor winding
Properties
• Operating Temperature: 120˚C to 180˚C+ (depending upon impregnation)
• Thermal Class: E to C
Characteristics
• Good tensile strength
• Flexible
• Good electrical properties
• Good mechanical resistance
Availability
In any width to a minimum of 6mm, in nine thicknesses and five varnish finishes. Colours available are yellow, black and natural.
